Best Time to Visit

08:30–10:30 AM (beat the parking rush & enjoy calm water)

That iconic turquoise canyon-mouth you've seen in every Turkish Riviera photo? That's Kaputaş Beach , a natural wonder wedged between towering cliffs on the Kaş–Kalkan highway. But turning your luxury Kalkan holiday into a stress-free Kaputaş experience requires a few critical insider tips.

How to Get to Kaputaş Beach & Solve the Parking Problem

Just a 10-minute drive from Kalkan centre, Kaputaş sits at the midpoint of the winding Kaş–Kalkan coastal road. If you arrive after midday in summer, brace yourself for a miles-long roadside parking queue. The smart play? Arrive early, between 08:30 and 10:30 AM, to secure parking and enjoy the calm, windless sea.

Alternatively, skip the parking stress entirely. Catch the regular dolmuş (shared minibus) from Kalkan, or better yet, if you're using our car hire service, our chauffeur-driven transfer options drop you right at the top of the steps, so you never think about parking at all.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, Kaş Municipality operates a facility offering fast food, cold drinks, toilets, and changing cabins. Prices are very reasonable compared to private operators.
The distance is very short (7 km) so taxi fares are affordable. However, during peak season finding an empty taxi for the return trip at the beach can be difficult. Booking a round-trip transfer is much more convenient.
Parking along the roadside is free but extremely limited. During summer, arriving after 10:30 AM means you may face miles of roadside parking queues. Arrive early or use a transfer service to avoid the stress entirely.
The stairs are well-maintained with handrails, but the climb back up in summer heat can be challenging, especially for elderly visitors or those with young children. Take it slow, carry water, and rest on the shaded platforms halfway up.
