Terminals

Dalaman Airport has two terminals: International (Dış Hatlar) and Domestic (İç Hatlar). Most UK and European flights arrive at the International Terminal. The terminals are connected by a short walkway. The airport serves over 5 million passengers annually.

Airlines Flying to DLM

8 major airlines serve Dalaman from the UK: EasyJet (Gatwick, Manchester, Bristol, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Belfast), Jet2 (Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Stansted), TUI (Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol), British Airways (Heathrow, Gatwick seasonal), Turkish Airlines (Istanbul connections), Pegasus (Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen), SunExpress (UK/German seasonal), Wizz Air (Luton, Gatwick seasonal).

Arrivals Process

Disembark → Passport control (20-30 min) → Baggage reclaim → Customs → Arrivals hall. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign. The whole process from plane to car typically takes 30-45 minutes. Dalaman is medium-sized and easy to navigate — much less overwhelming than Antalya.

ATMs & Currency

ATMs are in the arrivals hall and departures. They dispense Turkish Lira (TRY). Withdraw cash here — Kalkan ATMs can run out on weekends. Most Kalkan restaurants accept cards and GBP, but carry Lira for small purchases, taxis, and markets.

SIM Cards & WiFi

Turkcell, Vodafone, and Türk Telekom kiosks are in arrivals. A 20GB tourist SIM costs ~£25-30. Pro tip: go upstairs to departures — queues are shorter. Free WiFi is available but requires SMS verification. Your Define Tours driver has complimentary WiFi in the Sprinter.

Food, Coffee & Shopping

Arrivals has limited options — a small café and a kiosk. Departures has more: Starbucks-style coffee shops, sandwich bars, and duty-free. If you need baby supplies or specific items, buy them before flying. The nearest well-stocked supermarket (Migros) is in Ortaca, 30 minutes into your transfer — ask your driver to stop.

Meeting Your Driver

After exiting customs into the arrivals hall, look for a professional driver holding a "Define Tours" sign with your surname. You will have received their name, photo, and WhatsApp number before landing. If you cannot find them, message or call — they are always in the arrivals hall. There is no meeting desk; drivers wait in the open arrivals area.
